Calibration (Standard)

Applies to service returned units

This process includes the logger’s normal performance and accuracy verification. In this process the logger is programmed and placed in a stress test. Upon completion of the stress test the results are evaluated with the software and a standard accuracy certificate is generated. Standard accuracy certificates are on different formats for each type of logger. The certificate is similar to the certificate when the logger is purchased for the first time.

NIST Traceable Calibration

For all logger types

This process of validation includes calibration of the units with set-points requested by customer. The process is controlled and used traceable instruments (annually calibrated by accredited labs) to calibrate all loggers.

There are two categories in NIST Traceable calibration

  1. As found results on a service/return logger (only if requested)
  2. Calibrate on specific set-points

The number of set-points can vary from one to multiple set-points. It is recommended not to choose a set-point right at the end or beginning limit of operating range, for example for a D range logger the range is -40°C to +70°C, so the point must be between -39.5°C and +69.5°C

Standard humidity set-points are by default 33% and 76%

Different chambers are used for calibration, depending on set-points requested. Special care must be taken to calibrate high temperature and dry ice loggers.
